The New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS) has decided not to approve our new Blue Simplicity Gold product in the Small Group portfolio for the 2021 plan year. Therefore, we are unable to offer Blue Simplicity Gold for 2021. We will continue to work with DFS in hopes of bringing this innovative product to the market soon. Determination for Large Group is still pending.
Additionally, in our July Broker newsletter, we gave information about the alignment of our Small Group Pooled Dental Group size definition being updated to match the Medical Group size. A business decision has been made not to pursue this change for the 2021 plan year.
