Effective July 2026, Excellus BlueCross BlueShield expanded access to two pharmacy programs designed to support better health outcomes and help manage prescription drug costs for Commercial community rated groups.
As a value-added offering, Pharmacy Concierge and Sempre Health* are now implemented automatically for Commercial community rated groups with no additional administrative action required.

Pharmacy Concierge is a physician-facing program that uses clinical insights and proactive provider outreach to promote evidence-based prescribing and identify cost-effective treatment options. The program helps ensure members receive clinically appropriate therapies while supporting pharmacy cost management. In 2025 alone, Pharmacy Concierge generated more than $19 million in savings for employer groups across enrolled lines of business. By helping providers identify opportunities to optimize medication therapy, the program contributes to more effective management of pharmacy costs and helps employers navigate the ongoing challenge of rising prescription drug expenses.
Sempre Health complements these efforts by helping eligible members** stay on track with their medications. Through personalized text message reminders and discounts on select brand-name medications for on-time refills, the program encourages medication adherence and supports improved health outcomes.
Together, these programs provide an innovative enhancement to our comprehensive pharmacy management strategy. Pharmacy Concierge helps optimize prescribing decisions and manage pharmacy costs, while Sempre Health helps participating members stay on track with their medications by reducing cost barriers and improving adherence. This expansion reflects Excellus BCBS’ ongoing commitment to providing high-value health care solutions that help employers address rising prescription drug costs while supporting better health outcomes.
